Sons of Anarchy Season 7, Episode 2: A Closer Look at The its Impact to the Whole Series
Sons of Anarchy Season 7, Episode 2 is already in the books. With this being the second episode in the final season of the series, let us try to look at what makes this impact the rest of the season as well as the weaknesses of this particular episode.
So what makes Sons of Anarchy Season 7, episode 2 great?
This episode moved the story forward by giving the viewers a glimpse of what Jax had in mind for Lin and the Triad. Episode 2 puts everything in this season in the right perspective. Unlike most TV series where the final season is more focused on redemption, episode 2 provided us a picture that this season is all about revenge. It could be bloody.
It can be remembered that all series long, talks of war has been in the air. However, with through this season, we were given an idea that this whole series would indeed wrap up in a cold bloody all-out war. Just imagine all the factions and gangs in the series going at it. What better way to close the show? It is just amazing to note that Jax desired nothing than to steer the club away from a potential war; but in the end it would be him who would lead them into it.
What are the weaknesses of this episode?
There is nothing much actually. There are just some areas that we find to be inconsistent in a way. For one, the introduction of the new sheriff appears to be a bit weak as compared to the way Sons of Anarchy introduces previous characters. It has been almost like customary that when a new character arrives in Sons, viewers are immediately given a hint that this one is going to make an impact to the whole story.
The way Sheriff Jarry was introduced seemed like a bit passive. Besides, this is already the final season. Can she still be given enough exposure so viewers can better understand her character? We are not that way off from the last episode. Viewers can only hope for the best in this regard.
Over all, the whole episode is very significant in pointing a clear direction as to where the whole series is going. There may be some lapses but these are pretty minor.
