Ant Man Movie Release Date, Reveals, Reviews, Plot and Rumors: Film Set to Premiere on 17th July, 2015
The film is an upcoming American film based on Marvel Comics' superhero Ant-Man. The film produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Motion Pictures is intended to be the twelfth installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe preceded by Marvel's past work such as the Iron Man that culminated the two Avengers movies in the first and second phase respectively. Ant Man is expected to be the beginning of the third phase that will hopefully lead to Avengers three. The film directed by Peyton Reed and written by Edgar Wright, Joe Cornish and Adam McKay is set to premiere on 17th July, 2015 with Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas and Evangeline Lilly staring in the film.
Ant Man is originally a fictional character by Marvel Comics. It is based on the life of a Biophysicist and security operations centre Dr. Henry Pym. After discovering chemical substances he then named Pym Particles, that would allow the user to alter his size, he decided to become a superhero. On sharing this with his girl friend, Janet Van Dyne, she too became a superhero using Pym's same technology and a crime fighting partner to Pym called the Wasp. Due to this power they now had and their crime fighting, the duo became amongst the founding members of the Avengers.
In April 2006, Wright was hired to direct and co-write the film. This set in motion the film's development and by April 2011, the two writers had managed to complete three drafts of the film's script. Due to Wright's pending project The World's End, the Ant Man project was put on hold until October 2013 when pre-production began. After casting in 2013 December, Wright left the project in May 2014 as a result of creative differences in the project. A month later Reed was brought as Wright's replacement and McKay hired to contribute in the script development. Filming then began in august 2014 and is to continue at Pinewood Atlanta, Georgia.
