'Taken 3' News: Liam Neeson Tries to Clear His Name in 'Tak3n' - Plot, Photos and Updates
Just a day after the showing of his movie "A Walk Among the Tombstones," Liam Neeson is back in the third and rumored to be the last installment of the successful movie franchise "Taken."
Liam Neeson plays the role of a retired CIA agent who always get tangled with the wrong people. In "Taken 3," Mills becomes the hunted, as he make a run for slay, after he was framed for the murder of somebody who is important to him.
Neeson said that in "Taken 3," "I have to go on the run, I'll put it that way, from the not-so-lawful types and the lawful authorities. Bryan Mills served his country faithfully, but now even they are after him. They must not like me."
In the first "Taken" movie and its sequel, the movie revolves around the plot of his daughter being captured by Albanian thugs, but in "Taken 3," this will no longer be the case. It was confirmed that in "Taken 3," there will be no travelling involved. The actor jokingly said that "if my daughter was 'taken' again on a trip, Bryan Mills would have to be certifiably locked up for bad parenting."
The "Taken" series is a hit mainly because of how Neeson play the role of Mills. He is quiet and unassuming yet his presence is astounding. According to Forest Whitaker, the franchise is a success because "people are attracted to quiet heroes." He also praised Liam's work by saying that he's an excellent actor.
The official title for "Taken 3" is "Tak3n" and Liam hinted that this is going to be the last installment for the successful series. Neeson said, "It's a rollicking good story. But I think this is the end."
According to a report from Collider, "If Taken 3 continues the trend and earns more than its predecessors, it's hard to imagine the studio pulling the plug on the franchise. Then again, it's also hard to image a January release coming anywhere close to the $50 million mark."
"Taken 3" will hits theaters in January 2015.
