Batman Arkham Knight Reveals, Release Date, Rumors, News, Details and Updates: Game Upgrades on Weapons Coincide with Open World Graphics
There are rumors that the Batman: Arkham Knight Game might be five times larger than the predecessor. The marketing manager for Rocksteady Guy Perkins talked about the idea to evolve from the slightly more linear game-play which we saw as part of the Arkham Asylum. "We try to create that very cinematic story-telling experience through the game. Obviously Asylum was the starting point for that, but the intimate cat-and-mouse game-play between the Joker and Batman really demanded it took place in the pressure cooker of the Asylum." He added.
As such, the aim is to make sure that the graphics are not the only thing worth considering for the game as Rocksteady wants to provide a compelling plot for the players as well. In order for the game to inspire with the story, the developers have included a number of juicy tidbits for the game like the return of the Joker possibly, considering the Arkham knight as the main villain this time. Rocksteady also took the game to the next level by involving open world graphics to also give the players the next piece of armor. This includes the grappling gun and the ability to glide. The introduction of these new features to the game needed it to be bigger in order to support them.
There other thing which has increased the size requirement of the game is the Batmobile and it is now available with the upcoming installment. It was always missing but it would not have worked in Asylum or City as it needed the open world aspect. Batman Arkham Knight has been a long time coming for Rocksteady and Perkins has admitted development on the conclusion to the trilogy almost before Arkham City was finished. Arkham Origins was not part of the original version that was dreamed up by Sefton Hill and his team and now as the end approaches there are a lot of emotions. There is a lot of expectation and anticipation with this installment as Rocksteady would like this to be the ultimate game.
