Fury (2014) Release date, Cast, Trailer, Latest News: Sony Pictures announces that it will premiere on October 17, 2014
Initially "Fury" 2014 release date was set for November 14, 2014, however Sony Pictures announces that it will instead premier on October 17, 2014, according to Deadline.com. Fury is looking like one of the best films of 2014. Story is given by David Ayer. Brad Pittleads a cast of stars including Logan Lerman, Shia LaBeouf and other talents in a World War II epic about a squadron of soldiers taking on Nazis in a last stand, all while living in and fighting with a tank.
The movie is about the struggles of an army force to take down the Nazis behind enemy lines, inside a tank called "Fury". The multi-awarded Brad Pitt joins the cast as main character Wardaddy. He leads his team through the battlefield while inside "Fury", in hopes to defeat the Nazi that has outgunned their team. Lerman plays a young soldier that joins this tank brigade, led by Pitt. In this new trailer we see him welcomed into the group and watch as he learns to deal with the turmoil of war. Obviously, things get pretty bloody and violent, so we're excited to see how his character handles it all. Other military men include Shia LaBeouf as Bible Swan, Logan Lerman as Cobb Ellison, Michael Peña as Gordo Garcia, and Jon Bernthal as Coon-Ass Travis, lead by Brad Pitt as Wardaddy Collier.
Ayer talks to People Magazine, "I set out to make the ultimate tank movie. [Brad's] playing this badass, hard, tough, intense guy. It's a different kind of role for him." On LaBeouf, Ayer comments, "He's insanely good in this thing. He's a joy to work with and I can't wait to work with him again." In April, LaBeouf has been confirmed to join the cast.
Production began early in 2013, and with shooting in September of the same year, with locations in South England. According to BBC, the film highlights the use of Tiger I, the last of its kind. This will be the first movie ever to feature a real Tiger tank as other use a prop.
Here is a synopsis of Fury:
The film is set during the last months of World War II in April 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theater, a battle-hardened U.S. Army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank called "Fury" and its five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.
