OS X Yosemite Release Date, Update, Latest News: All that you wanted to know about the OS!
Fans were given a sneak preview of the Mac operating system OS X Yosemite in July from Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). The company indicated that the new OS X 10.10 will be released in this autumn but announcement of the release date has not been specified. The Yosemite is closely related to the iOS 8 features. Fans might get more updates about the new OS at the launching ceremony of iPad Air 2 on 21st of October.
Apple usually charges money for users to become updated with the latest OS for the users. The latest version 10.9 Mavericks was free of cost for those who were users of Snow Leopard. This time it might be also upgradable without any charge for the Mac users.
The upgrade to OS X Yosemite might need hardware compatibility. The probable Mac models that can be updated to OS X Yosemite are
Mac Pro (Early 2008 or later version), The Xserve (Early 2009), MacBook Pro ( Mid-2009 or later for the 13-inch display), (Mid/Late 2007 or later for 15-inch display), (Late 2007 or later for 17-inch display size), iMac (Mid 2007 or later); MacBook (Late 2008 for 13inch display), MacBook Air (Late 2008 or later); Mac Mini (Early 2009 or later) compatible devices.
OS X 10.10 Yosemite brings the "Continuity" service, which will allow working combined with Apple devices. Users can switch to Mac from iOS 8 operated iPhones or vice versa while composing e-mail. This feature will let user to continue from where he/she left writing. This feature is named as Handoff.
Apple has not vastly changed the updated OS, so the core of the operating system remains same. The user interface might seem a bit different. Notable change in the Notification Centre has occurred. Users will be able to download widgets from App store to customize the notification toolbar. The Notification center will contain features like weather conditions, calendar, stock exchange, reminders, social network, mails and many more. Day to day life needs will be handy with the customized notification center, so fans might have wait a bit to experience the latest update from Apple for Macs.
