"Modern Family" Season 6 Episode 3: Series Characters Develop Colds, Conflict, and Competition
The sixth season of ABC's famous television series "Modern Family" is in its momentum with the third episode, entitled "The Cold."
"Modern Family" is an American television sitcom, following the lives of Jay Pritchett and his family in Los Angeles.
The season just began three months following the marriage of Mitch and Cam. The wedding was also featured in the finale of the previous fifth season. After the newlywed's honeymoon period, the third episode returns to the affairs during the wedding.
Out of nowhere, it appears that an outbreak of colds affected the Dunphy family. The fact about the virus is unveiled while Phil Dunphy is editing some of the videos that were taken during the wedding of the newlywed couple. He finds out that there is a part of the video laying the blame on him as the one who spread the colds to the family. Phil attempts to conceal the proof, so he did some editing and deleting on the videos before others see them.
SpoilerTV posted some photos regarding the third episode. Some of the photos reveal that Phil has also asked the assistance of his son Luke to take some footage to include in the video. The boys could be seen in suits while fiddling around with a video camera and a green screen.
Another flashback from the wedding happens at the Delgado-Pritchett home. Andy "The Manny," the male nanny has come back in Season 6. He takes care of Jay and Gloria's son Fulgencio or "Joe" for short. The last time he was seen was in the fifth season in which he was going to meet his girlfriend. They broke up.
Haley Dunphy became aware of this and she advised the male nanny not to go to her girlfriend. For Haley, a girl should not treat Andy just like that. Gladdened by Haley's concern, they developed a sudden bond. Alex finds out this developing bond and she warned Haley not to play around with Andy. Alex and Haley had a small talk. After that, Haley told Andy that he deserved better.
Jay and Gloria celebrated another anniversary of their wedding. They even had differences in opinion with regard to the gifts they should give each other. Manny handles the stress of being in a football team. This also stresses his uncle Cam, who is coaching the football team. Cam is competitive sports, while Manny is the direct opposite. Cam is making up his mind whether to bench his nephew or not.
Mitch has a sort of rivalry with Sydney, Lily's new friend. Sydney is a very smart girl and is attesting her being a genius. Mitch is also competitive like Cam and she does not give up easily.
