'Person of Interest Season 4' Sneak Peek: 'Wingman' Episode Tries Different Light; Fusco Drops Samaritan, Goes Undercover
The CBS crime drama series "Person Of Interest" about a former CIA officer turned undercover tries a new approach in its fourth season.
Through some twists that are seen as a bit far from the show's trademark topics, "Person of Interest Season 4" will explore essential topics with a different light, AVClub reported.
"Person of Interest Season 4" is set to leave Samaritan war behind to focus on new cases, and the series is also set to build up a new focal character. According to Yahoo TV, the new star of the show is Detective Fusco, played by Hollywood Actor Kevin Chapman.
Considered as "Person of Interest's" secret weapon, Fusco is the newest New York cop who was compelled to do undercover for Andre Cooper. Cooper, a longshoreman who is now a professional wingman, is this week's number.
The cop, considered earlier as Reese's right hand, had a hard time on being a new undercover and soon betrayed himself after starting a bar fight. Chapman admitted in an interview that Fusco's character is a key used by Person of Interest's writers to give the show a lighter feel.
Regular series viewers are also waiting for Fusco's introduction and involvement in "The Machine."
"Person of Interest's" original main character John Reese, played by Jim Caviezel, is reported to change for the better. io9 said the NYPD cop is slowly becoming a better uniformed security officer.
Because of his stint as a former CIA officer, Reese has outburst tendencies that cause him some difficulty in executing law-inclined actions and reactions. This is said to be rooted on his 'many years of working outside the law'.
Reese efforts in changing himself for the better 'pleased' a new cast addition which is the new police captain Moreno.
Though "Person of Interest Season 4" gets good reviews with the shift into lighter mood, some say that it lacks the depth of the show's previous seasons. The initial episode is thrilling enough for its viewers but the show's knack for profundity is missed.
