Downton Abbey Season 5 News and Updates: Lady Mary chooses Lord Gillingham
Downton Abbey Season 5 sure is getting intense by the minute. Mary is set to choose between Lord Gillingham and Charles Blake.
According to The Christian Post, in Downton Abbey Season 5 episode 3, Mary had embarked on a weekend at Liverpool with Lord Gillingham, and would seem to show that she had chosen Gillingham. They enjoyed a great stay at Liverpool until the butler Spratt saw them sharing a kiss in front of the Grand Hotel. Spratt, on the other hand, had informed the Dowager Countess, Violet. Upon confronting Mary, she clearly states her disapproval and Lady Mary assures the Countess that she will not get pregnant out of wedlock.
Meanwhile, a group of Russian aristocrats arrives for tea; one of them, Prince Kuragin, turns out to have known the Dowager Countess when she was in Russia, and Isabel teases her by implying a romantic encounter.
Lord Gillingham is with them, still eager to marry Mary quickly, but she is starting to dither, wondering if he really is the man for her.
Thomas and Sarah are back in Downton, though Thomas is somewhat suffering from a mysterious illness. On the other hand, the father of Rose will appear in the coming episodes and will startle the whole family as the bearer of a shocking news.
Downton Abbey Season 5 is now airing in the UK via ITV and soon to premiere in the US on January 2, 2015.
