American Dad Season 11 News and Updates: Packs Up from FOX and Relocates to TBS

American Dad Season 11 is set to premiere on TBS and it is something fans are worried about. The cable network TBS picked up the series for its 11th season as announced in July 2013. The first 3 episodes of the 18-episode 11th season aired on Fox on the 14th and 21st of September 2014. The following 15 episodes will air on TBS, beginning on October 20, 2014 according to BreatheCast.

TBS has aired reruns of American Dad in syndication for several years and continues to. On the show's upcoming network relocation, Barker has stated, "It's going to be the same American Dad!, just in a different place." Barker departed the series over creative differences once early production for season 11 commenced in November 2013.

On November 4, 2013, it was announced that Mike Barker had departed American Dad. Barker had served for ten seasons as the show's co-creator/executive and producer/co-showrunner. Matt Weitzman is now serving as the show's sole showrunner. The news came as early production for season 11 commenced. As of November 2013, the show's production crew is developing its first four episodes for season 11, slated to begin airing on October 20, 2014 when American Dad moves to TBS. Barker remains under an overall contract with 20th Century Fox Television.

In reality, the purpose of the network relocation is Fox's move away from the "Animation Domination" format to make room for Sitcoms like Brooklyn 99. It may also be due to the arrival of a new animated series from Family Guy writer Mark Hentemann and executive produced by "American Dad" creator Seth MacFarlane called Bordertown.

With these assurances from the Co-Creator himself, we'll just stick to the fact that it will still be the same American Dad that we have loved for 10 seasons.
